Say hello to my Siberian Husky, Nanook (Inuit for Polar Bear). She is currently 8 years old and LOVES to please. She is currently being trained to be a D.A.D dog for myself and my daughter. D.A.D stands for Diabetic Alert Dog and while we are not diabetic, I am Hypoglycemic and my daughter has reactive hypoglycemia. the hope is to train her to detect a blood sugar drop before it becomes dangerous but this can take years of work. I have to say that she is making great progress and doing well with her first public outings!
